Data Scientist - Senior - HOURLY 3-12 months, full-time

THIS POSITION WILL ENTAIL:

Our client work regularly requires an SME for data processing algorithms and quality assurance by designing data modeling processes to create algorithms and predictive models. This includes:

Acquiring all models, techniques, and analysis tools from existing processes.
Design and build models and algorithms necessary for initial analysis.
Apply data science techniques, such as machine learning, statistical modeling, and artificial intelligence.
Identify sources of statistical error, known and unknown.
Identify missed analytical opportunities that can leverage existing data/models/processes.
Design and build the models and algorithms necessary for ongoing business analysis.
Identify and integrate:
- Sources of statistical error, known and unknown.
- Error measurement protocols and quantization processes.
- Bias vectors and identification protocols
- Design and planning documentation for future-state enhancement of identified KPIs, error/bias resolution, and future data sources.

DESIRED SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS:

3-5 years of experience in statistical modeling and machine learning algorithms
Experience in applying machine learning for pattern recognition
Strong technical skills regarding data analysis, machine learning, and programming
Strong working knowledge of Python, Java, SQL, and/or R
Problem solving aptitude
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Excellent communication skills

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

Degree in statistics, computer science, mathematics, or another highly quantitative field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Masters Degree or PhD in above fields.
Prior experience with standard ML models: Logistic Regression, Support Vector Machines, Neural Networks, and Hidden Markov Models
