JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an entrepreneurial and technically strong React Native Mobile Developer to join our growing team. This is an opportunity to contribute directly to the development of mobile applications while working in a collaborative, early-stage technology environment. The React Native Mobile Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and improving cross-platform mobile applications using React Native. The ideal candidate has hands-on mobile development experience, strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills, and an interest in building intuitive, reliable mobile experiences. Experience with location-based services, GPS, maps, geospatial data, or real-time applications is highly desirable.

THIS POSITION WILL ENTAIL:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop cross-platform mobile applications using React Native.
  • Build responsive, intuitive, and high-quality mobile user experiences.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Integrate mobile applications with REST APIs and backend services.
  • Implement location-based and geospatial functionality where applicable.
  • Work with GPS, maps, geolocation, and location-aware services.
  • Test, debug, and optimize applications across iOS and Android devices.
  • Identify and resolve performance, usability, and technical issues.
  • Collaborate with backend developers, frontend developers, product contributors, and company leadership.
  • Participate in technical architecture and product discussions.
  • Contribute to application security, reliability, and scalability.
  • Assist with mobile application releases, updates, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Stay current with React Native, mobile development frameworks, and emerging technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Passion for mobile technology and creating great user experiences.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a small, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to learn and experiment with new technologies.
  • Ability to balance technical quality with speed and startup priorities.
  • A portfolio of mobile applications or GitHub projects is highly desirable.
DESIRED SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS:

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Mobile Application Development, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
  • Equivalent professional experience, technical training, coding bootcamp, or demonstrated mobile development expertise may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 3+ years of professional mobile application development experience preferred.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with React Native preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and deploying mobile applications for iOS and/or Android.
  • Strong experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
  • Experience integrating REST APIs and backend services.
  • Experience with Git and modern software development workflows.
  • Experience with mobile application testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Experience in publishing or supporting applications through the Apple App Store and/or Google Play Store is preferred.Experience with location-based services, GPS, mapping, geolocation, or geospatial technology is a strong plus.

Compensation

This is an equity-only, fractional opportunity. There is no salary or hourly compensation at this time.
